Fisher Ecology in Rhode Island
Project start date: 01 JUN 2020
Using a combination of camera traps and GPS collars, we will monitor fisher distributions and movement across the state of Rhode Island. We are currently concluding the final camera trapping season and will be concluding the final live-trapping and collaring season in a few weeks.

The fishers in this study are the first fishers in the state who have been collared in Rhode Island history. We currently have 50 tagged fishers in the state after this first two and a half seasons and will continue to track the collared animals from our third and final season throughout the summer.
If you spot a fisher with a collar, let us know! |
