Current position
I am a PhD student at the University of Rhode Island under Dr. Brian Gerber in his Applied Quantitative Ecology Lab. I am working in collaboration with the RI Department of Environmental Management to monitor fisher (Pekania pennanti) populations, including fine-scale movement, habitat selection, and abundance. Aside from conducting wildlife research, I also engage professionally with The Wildlife Society on many organization levels. I have served as the Chair of the Student Development Working Group, the Student Liaison to Council, and the Graduate Student Representative in the Northeast Section. Additionally, I am a member of several other working groups.
Outside of my professional engagements I spend much of my time pursuing various outdoor activities (e.g. kayaking, hiking, camping, climbing, hunting), hobbies (e.g. quilting, reading, drawing), and spending time with my friends and family, most likely playing some kind of board game or birding.
