Current position
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Rhode Island under Dr. Kathleen Carroll. I am working in collaboration with the RI Department of Environmental Management to create a state management plan for fisher (Pekania pennanti) and to establish a long-term mesocarnivore monitoring project. Aside from conducting wildlife research, I also engage professionally with the Martes Working Group and The Wildlife Society on many organization levels. I have served as the Chair of the Student Development Working Group, the Student Liaison to Council, and the Graduate Student Representative in the Northeast Section. Additionally, I am a member of several other working groups.
Outside of my professional engagements I spend much of my time pursuing various outdoor activities (e.g. kayaking, hiking, camping, climbing, hunting), hobbies (e.g. quilting, reading, drawing), and spending time with my friends and family, most likely playing some kind of board game or birding.
